Andy and I are constantly amazed at the language development of Drew. Of course, he's our first and only talking right now (don't get me wrong... Lily has her own ways of letting us know what she wants or how she feels... but Drew verbalizes it with the english language!) so I'm sure we notice it more. Anyway... lately we're noticing a more consistent use of pronouns, and not always correct. His current struggle is learning when to say "my" and "I'. He was talking about something and saying "my do this...". In trying to teach which to say when, which if you think about it really hard to do... I decided to say a sentence using both words and demonstrate (a teacher, I know...) So, we're eating dinner and I say:
This is MY water, I am going to drink MY water.
He repeats:
This is MY milk, I am going to drink MY milk.
He got my inflection right on and Andy just started cracking up :) Drew still uses "my" incorrectly, but I keep trying to use proper examples of how to use both words correctly. And, realizing how important it is to have good language examples at such an early age!

Record his talking and conversations. They will be priceless years to come. He is such a bright boy!
Reminds me of when Ty told Granny to "watch his lips" right after she told him the same thing when she was trying to help him say his "l's". Kids are hilarious!
