But, this year I'm most thankful for my Dad! It's been a long year and a journey I don't think we ever imagined. Over the Thanksgiving week I realized how blessed my family is to have the continued opportunity of spending time with Dad. The best part is, he's feeling better than he has in years, which meant a lot of fun for his grandchildren! Back in Palatine, he's Drew's favorite person to spend time with. Asking several times every day to either play pool or Wii with Grandpa. Here in Kalamazoo, we planned a day after Thanksgiving outing for the boys and kids to Jungle Joe's (a bounce playground). Okay, obviously Dad can't bounce with the kids. But, I had forgotten that there's also a little arcade like area of games where the kids need tokens and earn tickets. Up until this point, I'd told the kids that the games didn't work and to keep bouncing. Well... Grandpa LOVED providing tokens for the kids and they were more than happy to play the games and get some tickets! It's just so wonderful to see him being the Grandpa I know he wants to be! So, this year, I am most thankful for Dad!Okay, enough sentimental stuff. Drew is thankful for his friends, Lily is thankful for Baby. We had a wonderful time with the Schmidts (young and old) here for Thanksgiving. The cousins really had a great time together. Tyler takes on the role of big cousin very well. Drew idolizes him ;) Megan and Lily are peas in a pod... so fun! See more here...
