We took a trip to the nearest zoo today... Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek. It was a beautiful day to be outside! The highlights of the zoo included the Children's Petting area where Drew got to feed some goats and pet them, and feeding the giraffes! Drew took the whole trip in, and was pretty excited to see the animals that we've read about in books. You will see him "bending his neck like a giraffe" in one picture, we missed him raising his arm to symbolize the elephant trunk, and we waved his arms like a monkey when we saw the monkeys. Of course, Andy and I miss Lincoln Park Zoo (it's free and has more animals to see), but it was nice to get out and do something on this beautiful weekend!
