This past week, Drew and I went out to Long Island to visit Jeff, Teri, Ty and to meet the newest cousin... Megan! As usual (and I knock on wood while I write this), Drew was a great during the flights! We arrived in NYC on Wednesday and left Sunday. What a wonderful long weekend we had. Although the cold kept us in most of the time, Drew and Ty seemed to enjoy playing numerous games with each other and Ty was very patient with his little cousin as Drew tended to mimic Ty in most things... including knocking down towers that Ty built! Ty was also nice enough to create games that were more Drew's style... like the crawling race they had at least twice a day, and building an igloo they could both play in. How fun it was to see them playing together!!! Drew even seemed to try to play with Megan, he would push her swing, bounce the bouncer and lay down with her under the playmat. This all sounds sweet and innocent, but Drew didn't quite get the idea that he had to be gentle with Megan, so a lot of supervision was needed during Drew and Megan times! Drew is so blessed to have such wonderful cousins, aunts and uncles. It's so nice that they are this close in age to all play. Thanks Jeff and Teri for hosting us for that long, thanks to Ty for being so understanding and patient with his little cousin, and thanks to Megan for just being you... you're wonderful!
