What a busy time of year this is, and Drew doesn't even realize it =)
We've done the shopping and are busy wrapping.
We've welcomed a new niece into our family, Megan Avery was born December 6th. We hope to get out soon to meet her!
We took our first train ride to Chicago... something that is not on our list of things to do again!!! It's due to that that we also learned the importance of naps and that they really do help a child sleep better at night =)
We signed up for Gymboree classes and now go twice a week.
We sing and play everyday. Drew loves Christmas music and has some cute dance moves of his own. My favorite is the booty bounce ;)
We are looking forward to see family for the holidays and celebrating Drew's first birthday. How fast this year has gone (although I do remember days that seemed to take forever!)
Preparing for the arrival of a little cousin, also born in the winter, I got out Drew's old clothes and the memories came flooding. A pair of 0-3 jeans, seemed so big on him at first are so tiny now! The outfit he wore so many times because it was the only newborn outfit we had, a cute little fleece sleep/play onesie... hopefully Megan will also stay nice and cozy in it as well. Now that little baby from a year ago is moving and grooving all day! He loves to eat, but burns off all the calories as soon as he's out of the high chair! Who knew keeping up with a crawler could be so tough:) I remember thinking how he used to just lay there, sleep and eat! Now, I sometimes wish he would just lay there for a moment and cuddle and relax. I can't complain... he's wonderful! But I do miss some of those early days! Not the nights though =) Drew is beginning to stretch his night sleeping to almost 12 hours! How nice! I'm rambling, and should get to baking cookies... another sign of the season. Hope all is well is all who read =)
